I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, working with individual adults and couples. My Master of Social Work degree is from the University of Washington, which I completed in 2000. I am a Certified EFT Therapist, and have also completed level II certification in the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy®. I am currently in the process of becoming certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
My background is in mental health services, hospice, cancer care, mind body medicine, and couples therapy. My Mind Body Therapy training includes Clinical Skills in Mind Body Medicine, at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Mind-Body Medicine: The Professional Training Program, through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, D.C.
Mind body techniques are a part of my personal self-care plan that includes meditation, tai chi, mindfulness, yoga, and guided imagery.
I am a member of the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy, the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), the Parnell Institute, and the National Association of Social Workers.
